Decking

While many contractors don’t, we at EE Roofing make sure to inspect the roof decking, as it is responsible for holding the nails and shingles in place.

Underlayment

If this part of your roof isn’t installed properly, moisture can seep in and cause the decking to appear soft and curly. It can also cause shingles to wear prematurely. EE Roofing uses plastic and tin caps and staples during installation. We can also, upon request, equip it with valley fast or ice & water shield for the ultimate protection.

Shingles

EE Roofing wants to ensure your roof lasts as long as possible. Therefore, we have covered all areas of shingle installation. We will exceed your expectations and manufacturer guidelines whenever we can. As one example, we can hammer each shingle into place using six nails instead of the industry standard of four. We also use starter strip instead of only strip shingles like some other roofing contractors will. Finally, we place shingle sealant around the eaves to protect against strong winds.

Flashing

This is a sheet of metal that protects your roof from leaks. But if it isn’t installed correctly, it can actually cause leaks instead. While some roofing companies don’t pay much attention to flashing, we at EE Roofing recognize that it’s one of the most important components of a roof. We use a super-rubber sealant called NP1 that doesn’t crack over time like silicone does. NP1 is used to seal exposed nails as well. We also paint pipes, vents, and other roof accessories to match the rest of the roof and to prevent rust. Finally, we use lead stacks instead of rubber ones, as these tend to last nearly 100 years longer than rubber stacks. You’ll be left with a roof that’s beautiful and free of leaks!

Ventilation

If your attic isn’t ventilated the right way, searing temperature can result and you may even void the manufacturer’s warranty. Those high temperatures can also damage your home’s construction and exterior paint. Furthermore, improper ventilation can greatly shorten a roof’s lifespan due to premature shingle wear. The team at EE Roofing will be sure to inspect your current ventilation and make sure you aren’t voiding any warranties. We can use hail-resistant vents that also withstand the peeling of paint. Finally, we use dual ball-bearing turbines for quiet operation that lasts. EE Roofing uses nothing but the very finest products available.

Inspections

We will be sure to check your roof multiple times during the project, marking off a checklist when doing so, and we assure you those inspections will be performed by company owners. Additionally, we make sure all building codes are adhered to throughout the project. We want everything to be up to our own very high standards, so we’ll check for exposed nails, marked shingles, or worn granules incessantly. We’ll also be sure to pick up any debris that results from the project and leave your property as we found it. In the extremely rare instance that we cause property damage during work, we will be sure to complete repairs before we leave your work site.
